Florence Metropolis Colleges hosted cell vaccine clinic at Florence Excessive Faculty Wednesday morning



FLORENCE, Ala. — Florence Metropolis Colleges partnered with Lauderdale County and North Alabama Medical Heart to host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic Wednesday morning at Florence Excessive Faculty.

The clinic operated out of a cell vaccine trailer that was beforehand utilized in rural places round Lauderdale County.

The clinic was capable of supply vaccines to college students ages 12 and up if households selected to take action, however officers stated it was not necessary for college students of Florence Metropolis Colleges to obtain the vaccine.

“We simply need to supply the service to any of our households that need to have the vaccine,” Assistant Superintendent Lynne Hice stated. “It’s not a requirement by any means; we’re not requiring college students to have vaccines but when households need to present that for his or her youngsters we need to be right here and supply it to them.”

There can be a follow-up clinic in three weeks for recipients to get their second shot.
