MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. — Muscle Shoals Metropolis Faculties and Helen Keller Hospital have partnered to start providing the COVID-19 vaccine to college students.
A Pfizer clinic was held Wednesday morning within the Muscle Shoals Excessive Faculty library. The Pfizer vaccine is out there to college students ages 12 and older.
Superintendent Chad Holden stated participation within the clinic is totally voluntary, however college students will need to have mum or dad or guardian permission.
46 college students obtained vaccines on Wednesday, however Holden want to see extra take benefit.
“Our COVID numbers are, just like the group, trending in the precise course and we would like it to remain that manner,” Holden stated. “I feel a variety of that has contributed to the provision of the vaccine. My hope is that increasingly more folks will take the vaccine. To me, it can assist us get again to regular, if there’s such a factor anymore. We’re simply enthusiastic about it.”
College students who obtained their first dose on Wednesday will return for his or her second dose on June 9.
