Bass fishing event to boost consciousness, funds for childhood most cancers taking place Saturday


DECATUR, Ala. — The 2nd annual Fishing for FAM Bass Event is going on this weekend and it’s all to boost cash and consciousness for childhood most cancers.

The younger woman placing it on is Mady Kelsoe. Information 19 informed her story final 12 months when Mady hoped to bop with P. Diddy on the Ellen present and it occurred!

Mady is simply 14 years previous and combating her fifth most cancers relapse. She says this weekend’s event is targeted on breaking the stigma of childhood most cancers and getting the dialog began.

Mady’s mother, Ashley Kelsoe, says the group has helped their household a lot they usually need to give again.

“Sadly, they pay for lots of funerals,” stated Ashley. “They assist with bills, medical bills and… you understand, they simply attempt to do every part — as a lot as they’ll — for the childhood most cancers group and that is one purpose we need to give again to them… is as a result of they’ve carried out a lot for us.”

Mady Kelsoe’s 2nd annual Fishing for FAM Bass Event is that this Saturday, Could 22 at Ingall’s Harbor in Decatur. Registration is darkish and early at 4:00am with boats hitting the water at safelight.

Entry payment is $110 {dollars} per boat and $10 of every entry will go in the direction of a “Huge Fish Cut up Pot.” Weigh-in is at 3:00 p.m.
