UAB dean now president of American Surgical Affiliation
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — The dean of the medical faculty on the College of Alabama at Birmingham is taking on as president of the American Surgical Affiliation.
Dr. Selwyn Vickers’ time period started this month on the annual assembly of the skilled affiliation. An announcement from UAB says the group consists of distinguished surgeons from the nation’s high tutorial medical establishments.
Vickers grew to become dean of the UAB medical faculty in 2013. He oversees the principle campus in Birmingham plus regional campuses in Huntsville, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa.
