Athens man charged with sexual abuse of a kid

ATHENS, Ala. – A person from Athens is accused of sexually abusing a 10-year-old youngster.

Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson says that investigators arrested Torey Devonte Brooks on Friday, charging him with first-degree intercourse abuse.

Brooks was taken to the Athens Police Division for reserving and later transferred to the Limestone County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing on this case.
