16-month-old son of Trinity lady charged with little one abuse dies

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. — A 16-month-old boy rushed to UAB Youngsters’s Hospital over the weekend has died, Lawrence County authorities mentioned Tuesday.

The boy’s mom, Jordan Ellan Harmon, 26, of Trinity, was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated little one abuse, in keeping with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Workplace. The boy died Tuesday, and the sheriff’s workplace mentioned it has an energetic murder investigation.

Deputies responded to a medical emergency with the 16-month outdated round 10 a.m. Sunday, once they met Harmon on Alabama Freeway 24 close to the Morgan County line on a medical emergency name. An ambulance took the boy to a neighborhood hospital and later to UAB Youngsters’s Hospital.

Investigators mentioned they count on to file extra fees within the case.
