Decatur man charged with setting residence, automobile on hearth

DECATUR, Ala. – A Decatur man is going through prices for 2 fires set Tuesday at a house and a motel.

Bernard Obrian Driskell, 35, was arrested after a car pursuit Tuesday, police mentioned.

Driskell is accused of setting a home hearth on Hillwood Drive SW round 7 a.m. Tuesday morning, in addition to a automobile hearth at La Quinta Inn on Beltline Highway.

Police mentioned the sufferer on the motel instructed them Driskell had threatened to hurt and kill her.

When Driskell was discovered later Tuesday, police mentioned he had a firearm and cocaine with him.

Driskell is charged with two counts of second-degree home violence, second diploma arson, illegally possessing a firearm, making an attempt to elude, drug possession, reckless endangerment, driving on a revoked license, working a cease signal, reckless driving and dashing.

He was booked into the Morgan County Jail on bonds totaling $152,800.
