Masks not required in DeKalb County Faculties after masks mandate lifts

DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. – DeKalb County Faculties made a giant announcement Monday concerning masks use in faculties as soon as the state-wide order dies on Friday.

Superintendent Jason Barnett advised Information 19 early Monday afternoon in a one-on-one interview with reporter Tiffany Lester that beginning Monday, April 12, 2021, that masks won’t be required for college students, academics, and employees, so long as the Governor’s statewide order is relieved on April 9, 2021.

The district later posted the data to social media.

He mentioned they’ve been following state and nationwide steering to a T,  because the pandemic started and thankfully the district has had nearly zero instances in the previous couple of weeks.

“We wish to put that accountability again on our employees and college students and all people to guarantee that they’ve the means to maintain themselves and others protected. In the event that they select to put on private safety gear throughout this time, we’re going to assist them and we’re going to encourage them and we’re going to do something we will. If we do see a surge or we see spikes, then we are going to regulate accordingly,” defined Barnett.

He advised Information 19 they’ve been internet hosting proms and look ahead to permitting college students and employees to go on area journeys and take part in different varieties of celebrations.
