Determination on masks mandate extension in Decatur stalls in metropolis council assembly



DECATUR, Ala. – A last choice on whether or not or to not lengthen the present masks mandate within the metropolis of Decatur was not made throughout Monday evening’s metropolis council assembly.

Dialogue about repealing the masks mandate within the River Metropolis was met with objection from District 1 councilor Billy Jackson. Jackson voted no on a procedural measure that will have allowed councilors to vote on whether or not or to not repeal the mandate.

Governor Kay Ivey’s statewide masks mandate is about to run out on Friday, April ninth. The Decatur Metropolis Council has scheduled a particular known as assembly for Wednesday, April seventh to vote on whether or not or to not repeal town’s masks mandate.
